Sample Video

A Reading to Read sessions usually last about 20-25 minutes. During the session a student typically will repeatedly read a 100-word passage until it is mastered. Mastery is defined as correctly reading 97 of the 100 words within one minute. Students are allowed up to 10 trials to master the passage. The two video clips below are taken from a session in which it took the student 9 trails to master the passage. The first video clip is from the first trial, and the second video is the ninth trial. Notice the difference between his reading fluency between the two trails. In the first clip, the student read 58 words in a minute with 4 errors. In the second clip, he was able to read 100 words in a minute with two errors.
